My favorite Malatang Restaurant in Frankfurt. Prices are very fair, broths are delicious and its always full. I prefer it to Hotpot, since I can take exactly what I want and its much more affordable !

We went there for Chinese food, and it was an absolute treat. You get to choose all the ingredients yourself—it’s like building your own dish, and they cook it for you. The portions are huge, so keep that in mind. Absolutely delicious and a brilliant concept.

2025.07.04: the place has a very interesting concept, haven't had hot pot like this before. You yourself put the things you want to have in your soup later on in a bowl and they cook it for you. Loved the soup and the fact that u choose ur own ingredients. The only downside is if they would label the ingredients. Some of the ingredients I had no clue what they were so I just chose what I know. Plus the price goes by weight and it can get quite pricey if u put too much in ur bowl.

We came back here for the second time because this is our favorite Malatang restaurant. They care for their customers. We ordered beef broth but it came out wrong with the spicy broth. The owner helped us changed to beef both and came to ask us to make sure we can eat it well, otherwise they could recooked everything. She gave us free drinks in case it was still spicy for us.

This is the best of my favorite Mala soup and my favorite Restaurant in Frankfurt (^__^) I recommend " Normal scharf soup" that is spicy and delicious !! Staff is friendly and kind :) Of course, when I go to Frankfurt, I often come here. Dankeschön, Kob khun kha und Xei Xei !!

Very authentic and so much to choose from! 💖 It is self service: you pick all the ingredients by yourself. Then you go to check-out and choose the broth. They weigh your bowl and give you the price to pay and a number. When they call your number, you just pick it up! 🫶🏼 So easy! It gets very crowded here so don’t come in big groups.
The interior is a little bit cold - but the malatang is warm and very delicious!!! 💖💖

Awesome flavour! I went for the hottest 🔥 (n°1). Amazing kick without compromising the taste. Everything is in German and Chinese (I went crazy and added almost a bit of everything) You get a bowl and the cooked after you are done adding the ingelredients by yourself. They only ask for the sauce at the end. You pay per grams at the counter. Also, the restaurant was full of Asians (I take that as a good sign).

I got Scharf (spicy), it had a little spice to it so if you really like spice get the sehr scharf (or add the red chili oil to your soup to spice it up!) Really delicious and authentic food. You can decide how spicy you want your soup base to be and it’s relatively very cheap for amazing quality. I’ve been a couple of times and have not been disappointed. It’s always quite full so I recommend reserving a table.

Tips:
- Red chili hot pot is actually quite spicy, take care if you’re not used to it
- filling half of the big transparent bowl when choosing food is probably enough. I paid 15Eur for one bowl and it was a bit too much to eat
- some ingredients aren’t well labeled, better take one of each to make sure you can try (I took 3x meat and it was stomach, which I don’t like that much)

Absolutely amazing food with clear instructions on how to assemble your hotpot (they also offer other meals aswell). With a great variety of toppings to choose from. I took the tomatoesoup, best choice i could've made honestly. Amazing broth and rich in flavour, perfectly seasoned. Other than the food they also offered amazing drinks, mostly Asian ones but also just regular sodas.

- As this place offers you to make your own soup it's actually perfect for a vegetarian, big variety of vegetables, noodles and other vegetarian friendly food. Just gotta choose the right broth, some are beef broths.

The food was really tasty! And I love the concept of the restaurant. You can just grab the bowl and pick whatever you want and the soup at the counter. Price based on weight of the food you picked which I find really convenient. I pay for what I really want to eat and get to try different things. It was just perfect for two of us. Service was friendly. Will definitely come back and highly recommended.
